Uploading files to your transfer directory on extranet.kino-eye.com
In order to upload files to your transfer directory on extranet.kino-eye.com, you will need a program capable of transferring files using FTP (file transfer protocol). Here are detailed step-by-step instructions if you’re not familar with FTP and you’re using a Macintosh:
If you don’t already have an FTP file transfer utility installed on your computer, you will need to download and install one. I recommend Cyberduck.
- Download Cyberduck
- Install Cyberduck
- Launch Cyberduck
- Click on “New Connection“
- For Server, enter: ftp.kino-eye.com
- Click on the Protocol pop-up and make sure FTP (not SFTP) is selected
- For Path, leave it blank (you will automatically be placed in the right directory)
- For Username, enter your user name (it was emailed to you)
- MAKE SURE the “Anonymous Login” check box is NOT checked
- For Password, enter your password (it was emailed to you)
- Click “Connect“
- The Cyberduck window now shows you the directory contents
- Drag your files to the window
- The “Transfer Queue” window will show what’s happening
- Click “Refresh” in the Cyberduck window to make new files appear in the listing.
- Your files, if all goes well, are now up on the extranet sever in your tranfer directory.
- You might want to save this setting as a bookmark, click on the Bookmark icon
- Click on the “+” button, a window pops up confirming the current settings
- Click on the “Close Button” located in the top left corner of the window
The files you upload to the transfer directory will be accessible via your extranet transfer directory:
http://extranet.kino-eye.com/your-directory-name/transfer/
using a web browser. The directory name, usename, and password was emailed to you. If you have any questions, call David Tamés at 617.216.1096.
