About

Hello, may name is David Tamés, and kino-eye.com is my blog. Here you will find my writings on a range of topics including making media, disruptive forces changing the media landscape, new technologies relevant to media makers, and even some practical tips and tricks. I’m a freelance videographer, producer, editor, and web developer. Over the years I’ve worked in a variety of roles on a wide range of film, video, and web projects.

In addition to my media production and consulting work, I produce short documentary films, for example, Remembering John Marshall and Smile Boston Project (Winner, Best Short Documentary, Woods Hole Film Festival, Winner, Best Regional Film, Northampton Independent Film Festival). I recently worked as Project Manager for MIT TechTV a video sharing site for the MIT community. I post audio interviews with filmmakers and people working in the industry at Art Film Talk.

Check out the web edition of my reel, as well as a list of projects, published articles, and speaking engagements on my Project Pages. My résumé is also available for download as a PDF.

About Kino-Eye

I often use the phrase “A Kino-Eye.com Production” on my media work. I’m often asked about the name kino-eye, so I’ve written a brief explanation why I chose kino-eye as my domain name is also available on this site.
