The Last Sentence screens in Newport

The Last Sentence, a film directed by Rich Frost and produced by the Newport Film Salon that I shot “Dogme style” will be shown at the Newport International Film Festival this Sunday, June 12th. The film will be part of an open call to screen short films by local filmmakers. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Jane Pickens Theater, Washington Square, Newport, RI.

Now this is some of the most interesting news from Apple in a while. Yesterday, at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, they finally announced in public their long brewing plans to start shipping Macintosh computers using Intel chips.

Remembering John Marshall

A while ago I was very sad to learn that John Marshall died on April 22nd. I heard a good interview by Bob Oakes on WBUR with Cynthia Close, Executive Director of Documentary Educational Resources on May 9th. The Boston Globe wrote a nice obituary. As a rememberance, Alice Apley and I wrote an article titled “Remembering John Marshall (1932-2005)” for NewEnglandFilm.com offering a brief retrospective of his career as a filmmaker, anthropologist, and humanist.
