hi david. i used some slides from your handout during a workshop on saturday at the NYC Grassroots Media Conference. we made sure to point folks to this page to get the packet. it’s good stuff.

we only used a few slides b/c we were teaching a very introductory workshop, that only lasted an hour and a half, with lots of hands-on.

thanks for putting it together, that way we didn’t have to ‘reinvent the wheel.’

Doing renegade shooting for the last couple of years has removed me from lighting techniques and the effects it invokes. This handout has not only reminded me of its techniques, but has inspired me to get involved in lighting sets and go watch old black and white films. Thank you so much for posting

This is a great slide show. I think these visuals make it much easier for me to understand how lighting works. I’m totally going to use this.
